As I was searching for Cibiés to complement my solitary Cibié Oscar+ (18cm) I ran into these Marchals on a local french auction website. Without covers but the covers I should be able to get afterwards so that's the next quest in making my 2002tii Touring shine again.
They actually look pretty good for what I paid for them (same amount of money I spent on the solitary Cibié!):
Chrome is okay, lenses are decent yellow, without any cracks whatsoever, logo not faded away.
At first I was a bit surprised as the box they came in was this:
Now I'll need to find use for that Cibié but that will probably end up on another project.

good deal. I LOVE the yellow lights for cutting the fog. I used to run them in the hi beam position on my E3

Use them for driving lights and put them on the bumper. Also, if you want cheap Cibie headlights check this place out , I will be buying a pair for the 02 soon.

That's another question: what will I use them for / wire them with. You just connected it to the high beam, didn't think about that, was thinking to use one of the 'empty' switches in the dash.

yeah I ran them as highs. Actually got the yellows from my local BMW dealer!

They'll end up above the bumper, will manufacture something on the studs that hold the bumper so I won't have to ruin the chromed bumper. Thanks for the address, will check it out! Is that your 02? Inka or Colorado?

No, I have a Chamonix 02 sedan.
If you don't know exactly how you want to mount them, here are a few great posts. The 2002FAQ is a great resource if you haven't used it yet. As for the attachments there seems to be three options: bumper mount, from the grill, or a light bar.

Thanks for the links, I already spent a lot of time on bmw2002faq.com (for the engine swap I was thinking about) but haven't been there for this topic.

Selective Yellow Marchal Fogs...
Those are NICE.
I usually recommend this article, when explaining the benefits of Selective yellow automotive lighting.

I really wish someone would offer some bright selective yellow LED fog lights... yellow-frequency LEDs would be an ideal output source, and could be arranged with flat-beam optics to be very efficient and effective fog lights.

Yeah, can't wait for the car to be ready and mount them! Thanks for the article. The 'old' top gear had a sort item about it. Check it here:
Although there is quite some scientific reason to use yellow I must admit the main reason for me is a stylish one: I really love the looks of it!
Bought yellow lenses for my 911 as well .
